Mini Soap - Soft and Gentle
Our By the Sea Soap Shoppe "Soft and Gentle" soap is mild enough for your littlest ones, helps your skin to heal from existing skin issues, and at the same time, it cleans well enough to - well, as we're told - "it takes the smell of fish guts off your hands", or "gets the gun grease off your hands".
Our car mechanic loves this soap. He picked up more soap yesterday (as of this writing) and told us that his hands are cleaner after using the Soft and Gentle soap than the hands of the guy who works for him who uses the "cherry scented, hand detergent for mechanics" hand cleaner. Plus our friend has sensitive skin that chaps a lot, and they've gotten completely better while using this soap.
All our soaps work this well; it's the magic of the coconut, palm and olive oils. It continues to amaze me; so gentle, so good for your skin, yet works so well and gets rid of the toughest odours.
If you're wanting a soap with no extra scents of any kind, this one is for you.

Coconut oil is easily absorbed into the outside layer of your skin (called the epidermis). It helps to protect from infection, repairs your skin barrier and helps to regulate how much water you lose through your skin.
Olive oil has lots of Vitamins A, D, E and K. Each vitamin has a positive effect on your skin, but Vitamin E is especially great as it is an "antioxidant", which helps to prevent skin damage and may prevent premature aging and sun damage.
Palm oil has a high amount of antioxidants, carotenes and other nutrients, making it beneficial both for the inside and the outside of the body. It has loads of Vitamin E which may help with skin conditions such as eczema, acne and dermatitis. It is also a good moisturizer and helps to smooth your skin.
Some of you might be wondering, "Lye? Isn’t lye dangerous? Won’t it harm my skin?”
First - all actual soap is made with lye. No lye, no soap. (A lot of "soap products" in the stores are actually detergent. If you look at the labels, they are not called "soap". They are called "hand wash" or "body cleanser" or some such thing.)
This could become a chemistry lesson, but to make it short - soap is made from lye, fats and liquid. When the lye mixes with the fats and liquid, some kind of chemical reaction goes on, and the lye and fats change into soap and glycerin. In the process, the lye is all used up. Even though lye is used to make the soap, there is no lye left in the soap at all.
This is why soap made with lye is not dangerous, and it definitely won’t hurt your skin.
